G-MAC HIGHLIGHT: Tigers win 25th straight

GEORGETOWN, Kentucky - (courtesy of @GCAthletics) Georgetown College volleyball picked up its 25th straight win Wednesday night in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym in straight sets over University of the Cumberlands, 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

With the victory, the NAIA's #11 ranked Tigers improved to 26-2 and 13-0 in the Mid-South Conference. The teams biggest test is coming up this weekend in the Boneyard Brawl. Multiple teams in the Top 25 will be in Georgetown Friday and Saturday in an 18-match, two-day tournament and is the premier end of the season event.

“This is going to be a fun tournament and weekend,” said Tiger coach Nick Griffin. “We are ready to see where we stack up with some of the other top competition in the nation.”

Georgetown will start the weekend with an afternoon match with Indiana Institute of Technology. The team plays Freed-Hardeman Saturday morning and finishes the weekend with a match against receiving votes Point Park.
