CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Daniel Rigby struck for his first goal of the season and the Yellow Jackets held visiting Tiffin without a shot on goal for a 1-0 non-conference result to stretch their winning streak to four in a row.
Cedarville, 12-1-1 overall, controlled the run of play for most of the night. The Jackets finally broke through when Ryan Thurman split the Dragons’ back line, slipped a pass to Rigby at the top of the box, and he ripped a high shot just inside the right post.
The Yellow Jackets controlled the stat sheet. They outshot TU 22-5 overall and 7-0 in shots on goal while notching their ninth shutout of the campaign and their third straight.
Ethan Dewhurst did not have to make a save, but still gets credit for his sixth shutout. The outcome lowers his season goals against average to 0.59.
Cedarville defeated the Dragons for only the ninth time in 29 tries. However, it was the third consecutive victory for the Yellow Jackets in the season series.
